Capturing the spirit of New Orleans

To identify a spirit that can truly represent a city like New Orleans may be a fools errand, but Bayou Rum is as much of a contender as any. Craft distilled from locally grown fresh Louisiana sugarcane, Bayou Rum is as much of a New Orleans native as gumbo. So when they came to us to develop the look and feel for a special edition product launch for New Orleans’ tricentennial celebration, we knew we had our work cut out for us. The resulting design system and messaging platform let Bayou Rum highlight their 300 edition premium rum alongside all of the things that make New Orleans special.

As a bonus, we created a custom baggage claim takeover to welcome partygoers to the tricentennial celebration at Louis Armstrong Internation Airport.


A sip for every season

Bayou Rum trusted us with art direction and photography for their seasonal cocktail recipes, which we executed entirely in house. After helping them out with a shoot in a pinch, they came back to us again and again to showcase their extensive library of delightful recipes.


Greetings from Bayou Rum

Bayou Rum came to us to create a social campaign promoting awareness of Bayou Rum's availability in 10 new U.S. markets. What better way to reach out to  thirsty consumers in these markets than a custom set of classic “Greetings From…” style postcards. We created a front image for each city, as well as a corresponding back side containing clever copy that conneced Bayou Rum with the individual soul of each city.
